1.1.6 – Important Update — Please Upgrade

• Critical fix: if your company name is a long Arabic trade name, ZATCA was rejecting your invoices with QRCODE_INVALID. The QR code could only encode names up to 127 bytes, and Arabic uses roughly two bytes per character — so an ordinary Saudi trade name of about 64 characters or more broke the QR. Company names of any length are now encoded correctly and in full. Verified against ZATCA’s live systems.
• Fix: ZATCA no longer warns that the QR timestamp disagrees with the invoice issue time (KSA-25). This warning previously appeared on every invoice you filed.

1.1.5 – Important Update — Please Upgrade

• Critical fix: the first invoice a store issued was rejected by ZATCA. The invoice hash chain begins from a fixed starting value (the PIH of the first invoice), and that value was incorrect. Because every invoice chains off the one before it, the first submission failed and no invoice after it could succeed. If you have already onboarded, please update and re-submit any failed invoices.
• Fix: QR codes are no longer corrupted by long seller names. The QR length field holds a single byte, and Arabic company names use roughly two bytes per character — a long name could silently produce a QR that scanners misread.
• Fix: the buyer’s VAT number is again read correctly on stores using WPDesk Flexible Checkout Fields. Version 1.1.4 changed the default meta key and emptied the buyer VAT on PDF invoices and in the ZATCA XML. The plugin now checks your configured key first and then falls back across the common variants.
• Fix: deprecation notice on PHP 8.4.
• Verified: the full ZATCA Phase 2 flow now runs against the live ZATCA sandbox as part of our automated test suite — CSR, Compliance CSID, all six invoice types, Production CSID, B2C reporting and B2B clearance.
