Kronos Automatic Post Expirator Plugin for WordPress

Automatically delete posts based on a multitude of settings

Kronos is the personification of Time in pre-Socratic philosophy and later literature. Kronos governed linear, chronological time. Starting from now, you can use the powers of Kronos to automatically delete old posts from your WordPress blog!

What Can You Do With This Plugin?

Kronos Automatic Post Expirator Plugin for WordPress is a breaking edge post expirator (auto deleter) plugin. It uses a built-in wp-cron engine to automatically delete posts, as you define in it’s settings!

Kronos Post Expirator plugin allows the page admin to set expiration dates for both posts and pages and any custom post type you have active on the current WordPress installation. There are a number of different ways that the posts can expire:

• older/newer selection
• by fixed date – posts older/newer than 21/01/2010
• by relative date – posts older than 30 days

If you want to see how Kronos works beyond the basic “delete posts older than X days” setup, the official documentation walks you through every available filtering and expiration option in detail. From fixed and relative dates to advanced post queries based on author, category, tags, meta values, or post status, everything is explained step by step here: Kronos Automatic Post Expirator documentation.

Kronos is not limited to simple cleanup tasks. You can build highly targeted expiration rules that affect only specific post types, categories, tags, authors, or even posts matching custom search queries. If you want to fine-tune how and when posts are deleted or moved to trash, including cron scheduling, logging, and manual rule execution, you’ll find clear examples and practical use cases in the docs: advanced Kronos rule configuration guide.

For users managing large or long-running sites, the documentation also covers performance-related options, logging behavior, email reports, and safe cleanup strategies to avoid accidental deletions. You can review the full settings reference and best practices at any time here: Kronos plugin settings and cleanup reference.

Other post filtering options:
